Chris Hughton: Black Stars coach loses Ghanaian father



In response to him, Hughton wants time to plan the burial of his father together with his household and that’s the reason his unveiling as Ghana coach has been delayed.

“Chris needed to keep within the UK as a result of he misplaced his dad and wanted time together with his household and plan the burial service. That’s why he’s not been to Ghana but,” Asante Twum advised 3Sports.

“We anticipate Chris in Ghana subsequent week if all the pieces goes in response to plan. We’re continuously participating on his unveiling, media engagement, and build-up to the video games.”

The GFA appointed Hughton as the top coach of the Black Stars in mid-February, as he succeeded Otto Addo on the helm.

The previous Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest supervisor beforehand served as Ghana’s technical advisor on the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The GFA’s Communications Director additional said that Hughton will arrive in Ghana after the burial of his father, together with his unveiling set for subsequent week.
