Fault Strains investigated an August 2021 automobile crash involving Border Patrol that killed two individuals. A survivor tells his story for the primary time, contradicting Border Patrol’s model and elevating severe questions concerning the function of those groups after deadly encounters.

Human rights attorneys, who first uncovered CIT models in 2021, argue that they obstructed the investigation into Anastasio Hernandez-Rojas’s demise. He was hogtied, overwhelmed and tased by brokers in 2010. Since then, no less than 145 individuals have died in lethal pursuits or use-of-force incidents with Border Patrol. No agent has been convicted in any of these deaths.
