Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin has declared the Kumawu seat vacant following the demise of Philip Basoah.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, Philip Basoah died on Monday, March 27 on the Korle Bu Educating Hospital, the place he has been on admission for a critical ailment, at age 54.

In accordance with Speaker Bagbin, Parliament has formally written to the Chairperson of the Electoral Fee (EC), Madam Jean Mensah to tell her of the demise of the MP.
